“Shanawdithit, a Beothuk woman, surrendered to Newfoundland furriers in 1823. This happened in Badger Bay according to a map she drew for William Cormack. I have been archaeologically researching parts of her indicated trek from Crooked Lake to the coast.
This picture is part of the area we checked today, looking for a camp she occupied that year.”
